Really enjoyed this place. Rode the trolley and received a wealth of information from the guide. My boys already want to go back!
Last place to ride an early 1900s trolley car and see the museum restorations in progress.
Like trains you should stop here.
The Northern Ohio Railway Museum (aka NORM) is open every Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM, May through October only. Volunteers staff the place: store, walking tours, streetcar rides, and restoration/maintenance. The project is huge requiring copious amounts of time and money to undertake restoration of equipment and expansion of the facilities. Northeastern Ohio natives will recognize rapid transit trains spanning their lifetimes from CTS to RTA. Much older cars offer a nostalgic view of the past when high-speed (60 MPH+) Intraurban service carried passengers between Ohio cities. Because of resource shortfalls most of the rolling stock is in need of repair and restoration but that does not diminish the interest the place holds for streetcar and trolley fans. Visit, donate, and get a taste of the rail past!
It's a trolly museum with rolling stock mostly from northern Ohio. It's a work in progress. They recently added trolly rides and they are making track repairs and adding electrical cable for longer runs. Tours of their collection are interesting.
